The caves, which represent the evidence of interesting geological events, also store various elements that help to reconstruct the history of man settlements in these places since the Paleolithic. Some of the caves on the Capo Gallo Nature Reserve are: Grotta del Faro, Grotta Buzzelino, Grotta della Regina, Grotta dei Caprari, Grotta Perciata, Grotta dell’Olio and some cracks, such as the Grotta del Malpasso and the Pozzetto di Pizzo Sella which are interesting from a speleological point of view.
